The parish council invited all parishioners to complete its Parish Question Time 2019 questionnaire, either by completing and returning the questionnaire delivered to all households by the parish distribution network volunteers, or by completing an online version.
There were 4 drop of points in the parish, Chilham Post Office, Chilham Shop, Old Wives Lees Village Hall letter box and Bramley Cottage, Soleshill Road, Shottenden.
The focus of the 2019 consultation was two-fold. Firstly, to gather feedback on parish council performance during the last 4 years against the strategic objectives it set itself in 2016 as a result of feedback obtained from Parish Question Time 2016. Secondly, to collect views on the strategic objectives council should set for the next 4 year term which will follow the parish council elections in May 2019.
An analysis of the feedback was considered at the June council meeting and this formed the basis of the parish council's Strategic Plan to 2023 which will be distributed to all households in the parish by the parish distribution network. This plan sets out the projects and work streams that council will prioritise over the course of its four year term to 2023.
