Taylors Hill Toilets
Posted on 5th October 2020 at 14:11
Everyone agrees that the toilets are a key provision that ensures many visitors stop and take advantage of the many facilities in Chilham.
The toilets are costly to maintain, representing 27% of Parish Council funds, and so to ensure that they can continue to stay open during the pandemic, we have ensured that they are COVID 19 secure. This has meant providing clear signage with regards social distancing and hand washing are displayed in both toilets and around the building. We have also closed off the use of the urinals due to the difficulty of practicing social distancing, and added signage directing users to the stalls.
In fact, we have been congratulated by an officer of KALC, as to how COVID-19 secure these toilets are, which is a significant step forward for where we were at the start of the pandemic in March.
